On 21. June 2024 a very interesting 2 days event took place where several international and national companies, NGOs and we as Making More Health participated. The topic: demystifying volunteering.

The goal of the event: Understanding better employee volunteering as a huge opportunity for the non profit sector.

In the past, there was mostly expected from companies to support the non profit sector financially. With the launch of the SDGs and the growing responsibility companies contribute to society things are changing. Besides hands on activities, skill-based support plays a much bigger role now. The companies, especially the international ones, mostly employ experts in many areas a from communications to marketing, from production processes to legal experts. The range of experts is very wide and often very high level.

On the other site many NGOs are doing great work on the field, but often would need more resources and/or high level expertise in communications, in legal and compliance surroundings, technical processing etc.

So, volunteering can be so much more!
