In this huge country of India everything seems to be possible – be it in the worst be it in the most positive way.
A visit in paradise
Today, I was in paradise – in Peermade, a Location in Kerala at a farmer’s house where only organic production takes place.
You do not believe?
When I entered this organic farm I really felt overwhelmed. On a relatively small part of land there was everything you can get out from such a garden: banana plants, coffee and tea plants, mangos, cacao trees, carotes, coconuts, pepper, many herbs, also Ayurvedic ones, strawberries, yasmin, muscat nuts, jack fruit and yams. Yams are versatile vegetables that can grow up to 1.5 meter. It can be barbecued, roasted, fried, grilled, boiled, baked, smoked and when grated it is processed into a dessert recipe. It tastes a little bit like sweet potatoes. And jack fruits? These are these huge yellow fruits that taste fantastic when they are fresh, just opened. Or you can by dried ones. Beehives and a just one day old calf completed the scenario.
And the people: they are always smiling and optimistic. I just wonder how they can … And if we Europeans cannot learn even so much from them.
In the garden’s background a fantastic landscape: huge mountains and deep valleys, all in all it is somehow a combination of a wild, romantic and lovely world. You should
have a look yourself.
