21/2/2024 – For the 2nd time – after the launch of the System Changer Network India (SCN India) in April 2023 – the leaders and ambassadors of eight NGOs come together at the Karl Kuebel Institute for Development Education Coimbatore, India in Coimbatore. The NGOs are active in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka as well as in Maharashtra working with children, women and men, farmers, marginalized groups and invest in environmental issues, farming and water challenges.
Our belief is that a real big and sustainable impact for underserved communities can be delivered only if we put together our efforts, skills and use innovative multiplication based systems of acting. We involve community members right from the beginning as ambassadors to serve underserved holistically.
In India, during the past months a lot of online trainings on health and business skills have taken place for the ambassadors of the single organizations who then have started to teach their own Communities.
On our agenda this time: review the results, discuss the next steps, develop the idea of running one project together while using the established exchange structures and starting the SCN India channel to inform together on the innovative way to create a bigger impact. We will have also practical trainings prepared for the meeting, such as WASH game exercises to bring back these ideas and spread them to all schools the SCN participants work with locally. In this way we reach many more schools than acting as individual organisations.
We welcome two special guests: SCN Kenya member and NGO lead, Vera Wanyoni from Core Helth & Wealth international and Mr Natesh NK from Carers Worldwide India, a social enterprise with a lot of success stories and innovative ways to care about carers. The SCN is also a very powerful platform to connect to innovative ideas to tackle the many basic needs (water, health, farming, water, animal health, mobility, inclusion topics, education, income generating activities etc.) of underserved Communities.
Stay tuned. We will inform more about the outcomes in the next three days.
