Indians, oxen and a deep trust in the world

B

Indians can sleep everywhere and everytime. If you are on tour with a driver and you will just leave the car for ten minutes and come back, be sure that the driver will be there on the seat with closed eyes having a  catnap. Sometimes they sleep on some racks and shelves in small paddy shops, in the Rikshas while waiting for a guest, wherever possible. From one moment to the next.

But the most impressive thing I have ever seen was a man sleeping on the back of his oxcart while the animal was taking him on the road in middle of the traffic to the presumed destination. He slept profoundly trusting in the ox – and the world.
