2nd Mental health training for women in Rural India

Mental health is often not the focus of educational or health programs when it comes to developmental activities run by NGOs or big companies.

But what if missing self-confidence, uncertainty, stress, relationships and alcohol make it very difficult to change or develop anything?

That’s why we started mental health trainings for the tribal women in close collaboration with the Karl Kübel Institute for development education in South India and a local healthcare professional. This time there were 151 women from our project area/villages participating in the programme.

All the women were so happy to attend the programme. Many of them could clarify their doubts and get more information. But there is still a lot to do.

Read in the next post about our mental health cards and try to answer some of our questions. Looking forward!
