It was a huge pleasure to come back to one of the most beautiful parts in our project region: the village with the river that separates Tamil Nadu and Kerala. There are living some of my tribal friends. We had nice hours together in the past: knitting sessions, singing with the children and beautiful amazing moments of sitting and talking.

One of the most impressive couple I’ve met in my life is also living here: a tribal activists couple.

They are getting older nowadays, but still they fight for more equality and empower the women and Selfhelp groups to grow. With a decisive voice they encourage their village people to grow. It’s incredible.

When I ask her about her age now she says: ” I don’t know.”

But maybe that doesn’t even matter.
