Today, we have been to the tribal hospital in our project area in South India/ Anaikatti area, where we will open the MMH health awareness hall officially only next week. With the help of one of our employees and KKID we have worked on it in the last months.

Making more health awareness for patients and relatives in a tribal hospital

We have developed the idea together with the hospital: Many patients with a tribal background have a huge need to understand much more about health, prevention, and good hygiene practices. Often there are long waiting times in front of the laboratories, relatives are waiting hours and sometimes days with them – and nothing happens. Addicted people and malnourished mothers are patients for a while in the hospital and need to learn about themselves, about caring of themselves and about their beloved ones.

Why not using this time and offering them an interactive awareness center where they can learn about hygiene, addiction, watching small awareness videos, playing quiz games around better health?

When we arrive at the hospital, I’m surprised: there are doctors and nurses waiting for us and starting a first training. The hall has been set up: painted walls, floor, chairs, Beamer, and the first posters… The idea of this health awareness hall for patients is highly appreciated by the staff.

Now we still have to finalize a few works before the inauguration function can take place, some good learning materials at the walls and interactive learning tools. Step by step we will develop all.

On 22 Feb’ 2019 we will do the official inauguration where you will see much more about it then…

It’s just about Making More Health happen!
