A goat health book for village people in rural India is under way – it’s time to involve local stakeholders

In the last months a group of some Animal Health managers – who had participated in an exposure week in South India in 2017 -have started to develop a goat health book to support animals and income generation for poor village and tribal people.

Yesterday, two of our managers came back to our project area. They will visit a lot of villages, people in cooperatives, Self-help groups and governmental organizations to show them draft versions, getting their feedback and ideas on the content, visuals and many other topics around to make sure that their ideas, insights and recommendations can be integrated into the ongoing book work.

Working “with” the people, instead “for” them, involving local stakeholders right from the beginning – that’s what is driving us. And that’s how we can make more health happen. For human beings and for animals.
