Socializing is key for Innovation

When it comes to innovation thinking most of resources and time are spent to identify and invent new technologies, such as a sophisticated software solution, a sexy app or a crazy device. What do you find in many project plans? Most of them show the necessities to build the technical result. Not more, not less. Don’t get me wrong. We need this kind of innovative technical development.

But do you really think that among a million of already existing websites, apps and software elements your innovative “product” will be that outstanding? Maybe. But be aware that more than the half of IT driven innovation simply fails.

Does a new technical approach mean already innovation? Or is it just an invention?

Innovation is something you have to live, day by day – across all functions and departments. Not just from a technical or digital point of view. Innovation is about recognizing ” traditional used to” behavior and traditional handling and asking provocative questions, networking with people and functions you did never before.

This requires not just an out-of-the-box thinking, but also a huge amount of personal engagement, the willingness to differ from the normal collective behavior and expectations, a safe environment where innovative ideas can grow and … last, but not least, an environment where the result and way of thinking will be supported by colleagues and partners to make the innovative approach “run”.

So what? An ideal innovation team should be built by people who cover different areas within a business, technicals and non-technicals right from the very early beginning – and wherever possible also by people from outside who come in with a new view on what you do.

Socializing is key in the world of today and for meaningful innovation within your business and society. Interaction and networking are essential for becoming a good innovator.

  1. There are actually numerous details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to convey up. I supply the thoughts above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you convey up where the most important thing might be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged around things like that, but I’m positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both girls and boys really feel the impact of only a second’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
